Blowing a Fuse

Help please!! Everytime I switch the ignition on, the brake light (and reversing light) fuse blows. Result - no brake lights!!!

Any ideas greatfully received.

Wire to the reverse light switch has shorted against the side of the gearbox.

Thanks, will give it a go tomorrow.

The wire had fallen off the reverse switch and melted against the exhaust!!
