M/B + proc up;dgrade vs Tiny

I am considering doing another m/b , c. 3Ghz processor, 1Gb mem swap in the surfing PC, but I see Tiny are offering a P4 3Ghz, 512Mb / 250Gb/ DVDRw / DVD / 19" TFT bundle for £499 inc vat. (I think, the advert is a bit confusing - code 01642)

I don't think I could get the main compoentes for much less than that.

I know the Tiny customer service is awful, and the Supanet crippled modem is a waste of time, but given that I would strip it all out and put it my own Li-an aluminum case with specialist sound card / Quiet PC power supply.

Any thoughts?

If it's just for surfing thats not a bad deal.
but £500 might buy you a nice acer to rip the guts out of, have you had a look on www.ebuyer.co.uk , or www.novatech.com for some motherboard bundles?


Tiny IMHO have crap after sales and use cheap as chips parts

Indeed if it's just for surfing I'm sure it's good value, but I would wager the 19" TFT is crap and will be rubbish for movies/gaming.
