Oculus quest 2, 64GB or 256GB?

Hi all,
Looking to get the Quest 2 and the link cable to use stand alone and with my laptop. Is there a good reason to pay extra for the 256gb model if I can use the link cable to access films and games on the laptop directly, or is that not how it works?

I figure I can put a couple of games or films on the 64gb version for stand alone use and use the link for access to my VR library and Oculus games store, am I missing anything? Anyone else do this?

Thanks for any advice
