Got Blackvue DR750-2CH in both cars, Front and Rear cameras. There is a parking mode ad-on which will catch anyone knocking into your car when parked up. It's been updated now to DR900. I found Halfords cheapest for it, easy enough to install yourself. I use the power off the rear seat cig lighter, the cable can run around the windscreen, pass seat footwell and then along the centre console next to the pass seat.

As soon as the cameras where disconnected the faults disappeared.Yes, the camera were hardwired into the car.

I have had the Blackvue cameras in my Cayenne for a couple of years with out issues. If you take the power off the right circuit/fuse it can't cause an issue. I did a lot of research on Renlist to make sure I used the correct circuit. Unfortunately, I can't recall which one I used but I know it is one that continues to have power for some time after the car is locked so I can use the parking mode. I also have a battery monitor in the system that shuts down the cameras if the car battery drops below a pre-set level so there is no risk of draining the battery and getting stuck.

So my rear cameras were causing failed bulbs warnings on my dash board! Both taillights supposedly failed. They were clearly working. The false errors were very odd.
Yeah, the way the car knows if the bulbs are blown is a change of load. Adding the camera would replicate that. Someone else mentioned using the cigarette lighter circuits to avoid this.
Little known fact...
The cayennes, and probably other models, have hidden lighter sockets in the passenger footwell. It is possible to get the hard wired look with out hard wiring. Some Cayennes have one and some have two.

Let me know if you don’t find it/them. They are below the glove compartment near the carpet. I can take a photo if required.

Had to go into the garage for something else. My car is US spec but the UK ones have them as far as I’m aware. In mine I have to really get in the footwell to see them. They are next to the center console (remember mine will be mirror of yours).
As you can see, I only have 1. Could have sworn I had 2. the US spec GTS is meant to have 2! Oh, and the writing is upside down on all of them to drive your OCD mad.
It is really easy to get the wires here and with a normal sized plug in you will not be able to see it.

OP, as mentioned before, I have the BlackVue twin camera set up. I went for it because it was universally regarded as the best on the market when I bought. I also like how it doesn’t have a screen to be distracting but the App is easy to use. The other advantage of having no screen is that I have it mounted behind the rear view mirror. I can’t see the front camera and never notice the rear one. To be clear, the front camera isn’t tiny so doesn’t disappear but the driver can’t see it.
I also have the end cap which locks over the cables so they can’t be taken out by mechanics.
I have the speed recording turned off. I also have the sound recording in the car turned off.
