Can someone identify this car please?!

Sorry for another "what is this?" post but we are trying to find out what this car is for my Grandmother?

She is pictured in the back window.

It was taken in 1953 - she thinks its a Jag but she really isnt sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

This, but I'd add that it's the Mark7 from 51-54 and not the Mark7M from 54-56 to narrow it down. The integrated lights beneath the headlights weren't carried over to the 7M which had grills there and seperate lights mounted on the bumper.
