Hi, sorry, another what car help thread. But I do enjoy reading other threads and seeing suggestions that haven't been thought of, so hoping for a bit of help myself. We are after a new car, aiming to purchase in January.
We currently have a Mini Countryman S lease, which is due back in March - but may send back early to avoid a service. The Mini has been a great car, but is now getting a bit small with 2 growing kids + dog - camping in the summer was a real squeeze (with roofbox).
With the current situation I don't really want to commit to a long term lease again, plus have also left it too late to arrange delivery, so looking to buy a replacement.

Up to £13k max, looking ideally for SUV style (estate / MPV maybe). My main requirement is big boot, auto and reliable.
Our yearly mileage is low, under 8k so no real need for diesel but appreciate petrol options are limited at that price, so expect it will be diesel.
I've got our list down to; Kia Sorento, CRV, XC90, Outlander and X-Trail but welcome others.

Something like this looks good to me - https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202011105...

We are Hertfordshire / Tier 4 based, so I assume have to keep is reasonably local for now.
Any ideas gratefully received, thanks in advance!

Or buy a petrol estate car. Lots of room and a better drive than a car on stilts.

Skoda Octavia estates with petrol engines will be numerous at your price point.

Ford Mondeo, various Volvos. Good luck!

Plenty of other suggestions will follow soon no doubt!

For 13k you could get into a very lightly used Octavia estate. It would depreciate pretty gently too.
