Got a shock the other day when I engaged in a WoT overtake and found myself inadvertently some way over the national speed limit! Flashing warning lights and alarm - slow down spoiler not deployed ( or words to that effect). Not possible to see whether that is true in the rear view mirror. Manual spoiler lift button illuminates when operated but again cannot see the result. I have had the car on track a few times at three figure speeds so this is definitely something new. Anyone experienced this? Potential cause? Any advice welcome. TIA.

Try manually operating the spoiler when parked, you need to press the button to raise it and press and hold it to lower it. That way you'll know if the motors are working or not.

Had it on my 981 gts, if same problem (and sounds like it) needed a new spoiler lifter system, done by dealer as under warranty.

I had this as well! happened on track first time out but I'm still waiting a response from dealer about it being under warranty.

I managed it for a bit by manually putting it up before a journey, but now its now stopped actuating at all in the deployed condition!

Mine stuck in the up position for some reason. Was like it for days, wouldn't do down using the button until I exceeded the speed threshold (75mph?) and it returned properly. Been fine since. Glitch in the matrix?

Well mine seems to have at least temporarily fixed itself. Hit the manual button several times and all of a sudden it worked. I assume that as I have not exercised it on track for over 6 months it had seized in some way. Fingers crossed.
