Christmas bubble question

Outside a Tier 4 area, you can stay in private rented accommodation, a hotel, hostel or B&B in England over Christmas, in line with the social gathering rules in your tier. This includes in a tier 3: Very High alert area between 24 and 26 December, as long as you are staying by yourself, or with other members of your household and it is necessary for the purposes of seeing your Christmas bubble on Christmas Day. If necessary, you can stay in private rented accommodation with members of your household, or your Christmas bubble.

Does that therefore mean that a Christmas bubble can legally meet in private rented accommodation over the period 24th to 26th December?

Not trying to break any rules, but if this is the case there may be a benefit of being a tenant in a private rented accommodation...

If you are saying what I think you are saying, then no, its first and foremost your home, that it also happens to be private rented accommodation is moot as its out of context.

Other than that who knows, its an ever evolving stshow of guidance, advice and occasionally, actual law.

it read that as:
you and your household can stay overnight in a hotel to maximize the time you spend with whoever you are seeing on christmas day in their home, or their private rented accommodation.

So if they are currently living in a hostel/hotel/b&b etc for whatever reason you can go to their private space there.

this is not an invitation to hire hotel rooms and all go to meet up at the same hotel.

The key is to squish the sprouts up BEFORE you add them to the left over spuds and bits of sausage, pancetta, whatever etc. Fry it all in the turkey or goose fat. Job jobbed - good bubble, Merry Xmas.

FFS just do what you need to do to so that you have a good Christmas.. Suicide rates rocket this time of year as it stands. Unless and until Boris starts paying my mortgage he doesn't get to say who comes into my house.
