Is it for home use? Or something else?
And what OS? Is it Chrome OS, or were you using it for some other use case?
Printer make and model(s) would be useful too.

Home use, I have a Chromebook but also Android phone. The printer is a Dell laser, which I've managed to configure to print over wi-fi, but sometimes I need to print from a different network.
Ozone nailed it.
Papercut is one of the most popular options. They have a free offering which may suit your requirements if it's only sporadic/infrequent use.
If you've the Chromebook direct printing over the local network you're already ahead of most of the posse, as most people don't realise Chrome OS can add local and network printers and incorrectly interpreted the closure of GCP as Chrome OS losing print capabilities!
