PS5 setup question...

We've got our son a PS5 for Xmas, so that's me setting it up tomorrow...

He's got his PS4 with his games on & game saves / progress / trophies etc.

What do I need to do in order for him to be able to keep his level in Rocket League, COD etc.?

The games bit is pretty straightforward - either off the disk or out of the library but it's more the "save" data I'm bothered about. I don't want to be getting earache because he's at level 1 on Fall Guys or whatever!

We've got PS Plus & PS Now - I've read something about cloud storage but don't know a lot about this or even if we've got it.

If you’ve got PS+ your saves will be backed up online.

Switch on the PS4, switch on the PS5 somewhere else on the same network and just follow the onscreen instructions.

Should be as easy as that TBH.

Think he might notice if I set it up tonight - (a) it's going in his bedroom & (b) its wrapped up!

We'll sort it out tomorrow - should be pretty straightforward by the sound of it & he's got an Xbox to play on while the PS5 is doing its thing.

He's not spoilt although it does sound like it - the PS4 he bought with money he'd saved up & the Xbox was bought recently so he could play with more mates from school but he sold his Switch to pay for that (he bought the Switch by selling his Wii U and 2DS)!

Anyone interested in a PS4 slim?!!
