Volvo V40 1.6 petrol turbo - jerking/surging
Discussion
I think the turbo version has individual ignition coils but if it has the two coil packs check around the casings for cracks. Also check the plug leads.
Individual pencil coils, one way to check is get hold of a replacment coil (either a known good used one or new) and swop over on each cylinder.
Were the plugs changed on the service?

Thanks very much. I can't recall if the plugs were changed, I don't think so as the MOT and service was only 200 odd quid from a Volvo indy.Individual pencil coils, one way to check is get hold of a replacment coil (either a known good used one or new) and swop over on each cylinder.

I'll get it booked in I think
