Foxwell NT 510 OBD 11 Reader Software

Thinking of buying a Foxwell NT 510 reader secondhand or possibly new. Do they come with Aston Martin compatibility or will I have to buy the additional software?

I bought the 530 with aston martin software, think it was around £120.
The 530 is model recommended by a few places.
It communicates with the body modules as we as the engines. Couldn't comment on if the 510 does.
When the unit arrived (new) i had to get a code to download the AM software.
It does also work as a standard diagnostics tool on other vehicles.

It comes default with the software for one vehicle of your choice while buying, So you can pick Aston. Look for the small USB stick that comes with the package for the 510.It has the software you need. You can also download off the web if needed.

I’ve just ordered the 530 - waiting for it to arrive. I need 2 vehicles, Aston and Merc and it has a DPF regen feature which I think is the reason the CEL has come on on the wife’s ML.

Should pay for itself on first use I reckon. £200 for the unit, Merc specific cable and 2 x manufacturers.
