Anyone know if the 14" Wolfraces as fitted to M series cars were painted on the inside face ? I have had 3 M's with Wolfraces, all were painted black on the inside but some of the pics in "The TVRs" and elsewhere seem to show plain cast finish ?? Reason is I'm fitting refurbed Wolfies to my 3000S and if I'm going to paint them it needs to be done before the tyres go on ! Also I'll have a set of 4 unrefurbed but excelent Wolfraces for sale next weekend (Ebay and PH, or make me an unrefusable offer !)

OK so nobody replied and I've put the wheels on Ebay.

And be warned: if you use Ebay and have a PayPal account, beware a PayPal scam whereby you receive what looks like a receipt for a large but spurious transaction, don't open the Email and don't use it to log onto your account, as you will be passing your account security details to the Russian mafia !

Seems like I'm talking to myself these days. Anyhow the wheels sold to a chap in the U.S. who's putting them on a 3000S.

The wolfrace wheels on the 3000M Martin 2 that I owned were painted on the inside, not black, but a brown colour nearly matching the Mexico brown model band.

Sorry the post is now too late, but can't have you talking to yourself

Thanks guys for all the info, the horse hasnt quite bolted as I still have my beloved 3000S (see profile), the wheels are lacquered black on the inside but if you look in the 1978 M sales brochure you can see shiny bits on the inside faces, so probably originally unpainted.

Oh and the name: when I joined PH it was shortly after I had had a few bad experiences, bought then sold a car at a loss that objectively I couldnt live with, someone else on PH said "the guys a nutter" to which I took GREAT exception, hence the monica.....

Look for me on Ebay and I'm Lordofthewings, a much more sensible name for a (big, R/C) model aircraft enthusiast !
