I’m getting a lot of condensation on the windows overnight and misting after leaving the car for a couple of hours, carpets are dry, any ideas where I should start looking?

Some big condensation bags left in it will help but not cure the problem.
If your car is left outside which mine is has caused these problems in the damp winter months .i dont own a spyder but fot the last 5 years of ownership i have suffered as well. Joys of a convertible i suppose.
I dont think the Spyders roof is as insulated as the standard boxster .

When I borrowed a 987 Spyder it misted up quite quickly when it rained.

It may be you get more condensation as it isn't as watertight as a coupe or standard boxster.

I'd check all the drainage channels, carpets etc then either get it inside and perhaps use a fan to get some air into it or get the roof off, heater on and go for a drive.

Have you proofed the roof recently?

No, I’ve only had it a couple of months, it doesn’t obviously leak, will check if it is damp.

Was thinking perhaps it’s holding moisture rather than leaking outright - and with less insulation inside than a normal roof perhaps that’s the issue? Get some Fabsil or equivalent on it. Fortunate that mine lives inside.

I'd be checking your roof drain holes are clear, you could have moisture overflowing and heading down under the carpets and before long you'll be getting errors when the modules that live under the seats are fried.

Main drain holes are described here, should be the same for your Spyder.

The secondary ones are described in the follow up video.

for the first time in 10 years I had some condensation about 2 months ago - found that the carpet was wet behind the drivers seat - dried it out and am about to replace a small window seal that we think is the issue

Its all dry and condensation free now
