www.prestigeaudio.co.uk - this has been a real labour of love and although a couple of pages still need some content tweaks, I think it is almost there!

Any comments/suggestions?

Cheers

Very good - I like the design very much and it is very intuitive.

1 suggestion - when viewing the enlarged photo's it would be good to have a prev and next image link so I don't have to go back to main page to select the next one, if you get me?

Cheers

nice and clean design, easy to find the contact details which is always a bugbear of mine...

The only thing you could maybe add is details of the productines you carry. ( might pick up more search engine referers that way)

have you done any work to make it search engine friendly

Looks fantastic! It's too easy to forget the importance of design with a product such as that, especially with the residential side of things.

To my eye you have got this covered perfectly, the photos look great and the design is very clean and very stylish.

Wow - that is a great response!!

Cheers guys - I agree with the 'next photo' link on the pop up windows so I'll get that added on asap.

Good call also on adding some more product info on there - that will deffo help get brand specific traffic from the SEs.

Not done any SEO work at this stage - in my other life I run a web-dev and marketing company so it is on the horizon!

Also would appreciate your thoughts on some advertsing ideas I have had.

Do you think it would be worth doing some car specific packages such as Porsche sat nav, BMW audio systems, and doing some specific banner ads on PH? Not sure that the PH audience would be in to real high end audio, but maybe some sensibly priced packages might appeal?

What do you think?

I think you need to consider advertising very carefully, on some sites it works, others not.

E.g PH - is a newsviews type site with a lot of interaction between people with similar likes and dislikes (although not that similar it seems if you view some threads!). Ted is "selling" that news and interaction so the advertising is very targeted, even useful and maybe even interesting to people view the site.

However If I were to visit your site and see banner ads it would say to me "this guy can't sell enough products so he's resorting to advertising" and such can look cheap and tacky unless done very very well.

Personaly I would avoid it at all costs but perhaps try a few ads on a few pages and see what others think, it's just IMO.

Cheers

I think advertising would pollute the clean look of the site, to be honest. I'd go as far as to say that it would probably have a negative impact.

On the site itself I would agree 100% - elsewhere, not sure.

I think Ted has some clever code that looks for words in forum posts and displays adverts according to those words. Fairly often there is a post about high end audio gear in the Pie and Piston, so you might see some return if you did advertise.

Sorry guys, I guess I was a little unclear!!

I don't want to sell advertising on my site, I was thinking of advertising on Pistonheads! Maybe in porka and BMW forums with specific targeted banners.
