Can I collect a car from a Tier 4 area?

During a lockdown and under Tier 4 restrictions, all non-essential retail locations in England are closed, including car showrooms, while the public has been told to work from home if possible and to use their cars only for essential travel. Government guidance says that non-essential retail businesses can remain open for deliveries to customers and for ‘click & collect’ services. The good news is that if you need a car you can still buy one during this period, with little or no extra inconvenience.

Yup, I'm (T4) collecting mine on the 9th and had this exact conversation with my (T4) dealer.

It sounds like it'll be a far better pickup than a normal one because there's no opportunity for the silly add-on conversation.

Just to bump this... I'm potentially buying a car from a dealer in tier 4 (I'm also in tier 4). The trip will be an 8 hour round trip. I'm assuming this is fine, but just wondering if this is actually legal. It's a grey area, and I dont want to land a big fine.
