If you didn't see it and you've got half an hour to kill, check it out on Iplayer. To be the funniest thing with on a quiz show with Ade Edmonson on it is quite the achievement.

In the heats he said bugger all during the entire 30 minutes!

Maybe the researchers deliberately put in the cricket question just so he would get his moment of fame.
It's just a shame his team didnt win the starter question

'the next questions are on slow left arm bowlers' did seem a bit contrived.
A shame he couldn't answer them.

And then when he did answer a question just as his team was catching up, he got it wrong and made it virtually impossible for them to win.

Absolutely no offence against the bloke as he was probably just very nervous but a cardboard cut out of him would have probably done better.

Still waiting for Ade to answer a question with "Toxteth O'Grady".....

It wasn't just Monty but the Loughborough team was just a one person show by Kate Fox. I almost felt bad for her every time she looked at her team mates for any ideas they all just shrugged, except Monty who didn't even look over! It was worse in their heat where she won single handed. Monty was probably relieved not to get the cricket questions!

The other cricketer on the Loughborough team got a couple of questions right as well but I can't recall if the blonde swimmer ever answered anything.

It's a shame Loughborough didn't get through to the final as Kete Fox's gurning made watching it a hoot!

We watched it - always do every year.

But as I recall, Monty Panesar never spoke one word !
