CLK 240 Convertible?
Discussion
I'd say you'd be mad to buy it for 8k it's a normal middle of road Mercedes CLK if you really want one get this loaded one for half the money:

If I was going to spend 8k on a CLK convertible it would be on this model it'll hold it's money better in the long run.

In a word, no.
It's roughly double what it is worth.
I don't even think it is worth £4K. A 2003 car is an early, pre-facelift with the cheapo interior and the 240 is the weediest engine. It's the worst choice possible in my humble opinion. It's roughly double what it is worth.
OP - for around £5k to £6k you should be able to get a late CLK 350 model, after the balancer shaft issue was addressed. This would be a far nicer car, albeit high tax.
