Just pinged up on Brands Hatch Social Media that commentator Brian Jones has passed away.

Must admit that I thought he'd gone some time ago but sad nonetheless.

Met him a few times and seemed a lovely bloke and properly knowledgable about a sport he loved.

Dam , he was THE voice of Brands Hatch for decades .

He loved the Formula Ford Festival back in it's heyday of massive entries .

RIP Mr jones, Always a good listen from years of spectating at Brands. Very knowledgeable. Formula Ford Festival wont be the same without him.

On the BRSCC website they state he had covered the festival since 1976 and this year would he would have been his 50th.
