Ive got an 58 plate V8V convertible.

The battery has gone flat, and i do not have a physical key, only the remote fobs.

How can i pop the bonnet to access the battery and jump start it ?

Here is a link from 6speed which may help.

With regards to the metal key, they can be obtained from your Aston dealer with your VIN. My Vantage was delivered on December 23rd and I immediately placed the metal key in a small waterproof case and secured it under the car. Last thing I want is to be far from home and no way to gain access to a vehicle with a dead battery.

Hope this helps.

Battery in a convertible is behind the driver's seat (RHD) so you need to access the cockpit to jump start direct to the battery. That said there is the 'tap in' point accesible (just) from under the car that you can jump start via. Having been through similar (albeit I have the physical key - but using that is pretty scary as you don't get the window drop and have to force the door glass past the seal!) mine lives on a battery conditioner (plugged into the 12v socket in the boot / trunk) when not in use and my tracker tells me the car's voltage so I can check it is still charging even when I'm not there. None of which helps you now of course so good luck getting it sorted!
