Sites for Checking Car History?

It looks like I will be reverting back to purchasing a used car for the 1st time in years when my current lease ends in March.

I'm well out of touch with checking over a used car, are there are websites other than the obvious HPI that can give some basic idea of a cars history/value/how long on sale by just inputting the reg no. ?

VCheck this has the benefit of showing if a car has had insurance work & HPI are the two I use.

You can also do a M.O.T history check to use as a good pointer of things to look at when viewing the car.
