Mobile broadband and homeplugs?

Hi all, I have some homeplugs which work fine with my ADSL router, but when I plug them into my mobile broadband router (Huawei B311) I get nothing?

Plugging in a laptop to the Huawei router confirms there is a good strong connection.

Surely a router is a router? Shouldn't matter to the homeplugs? Or am I missing something?

Are they set on DHCP? Maybe they have a static IP relating to the old router? Have you power cycled them when connected?
