can someone give me reasonable reason, that doesnt resolve around money or to keep the common man from taking an interest in politics, why the premier league is allowed to continue during this lockdown?

Don’t worry about it. In what way is it significant to you?

The real answer I suspect is that having elite sport on the telly and in the papers keeps the masses entertained and less likely to get fighty.

But try to concentrate more on not worrying about it.

Same as all pro sports have continued through various lockdowns, F1, MotoGP, tennis etc. If they can do it safely and keep jobs going why not?

There is enough money in the sports to enable the funding of very frequent testing to minimise transmission risk and aid containment.

People are still allowed to go to work if they can't work at home and their place of work remains open.

Which part of that doesn't apply to professional sports people?

Because Boris had already activated his Free Hit chip for GW18 to beat the price changes.

Because in the grand scheme of things it will make fk all difference to UK Covid hospitalisations and deaths.

Football, cricket, snooker, boxing, motorsport, darts etc have been able to run things safely for months now.

Not a sports fan but I see it like any employment. If it can be continued and the risk is managed then why not?
