Connecting bluetooth keyboard to laptop without adapter
Discussion
Hi-Happy new year fellow PHers..
I have a Dell bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse along with one Dell USB adpater. They both work with paired USB adapter.
I need to use them on separate laptops i.e. keyboard on one and mouse on the other. My laptops have in-built bluetooth but I cant connect either the keyboard or mouse to laptop using built in bluetooth (When searching none of them are identified).
Any suggestions I can try or is my only option to buy a Dell/Universal USB bluetooth adapter?
Thanks

Are you certain your current keyboard / mouse / usb adapter combo are really bluetooth and not just paired radio? You may need to trigger a pairing sequence using the pair button on your keyboard / mouse before they become visible to the laptop.

Thanks. I am triggering pairing sequence. After your pointer, I checked dell website for the model I have and the mouse/keyboard are 2.4GHz wireless rather than Bluetooth so that explains why I can't connect without adapter. Thanks. Edited by eltawater on Tuesday 5th January 10:16
