WMV files won't play

Bit of a wierd one this....

WMV files won't play in either of my browsers (firefox or IE)

I've uninstalled the Nimo codec pack I had incase one of them was messing it up. I've checked the WMP "Connect to Internet setting".

They play fine when I download the whole file first then play it, but it just won't show streaming WMV files.

I've got a Netgear DT834G router, and no software firewall running.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Actually, looking at it again, it won't play any steaming video at all from either in the browser or from media player.

It's WMP10 installed by the way.

Firewall settings?? Does streaming video need certain ports enabled?

Try configuring your firewall so that it asks if you wish to allow it when an unauthorised app attempts to connect to the Internet. That should at least tell you whether it's your firewall blocking it.
