Albums you wished you'd discovered earlier..
Discussion
I was born in 1962 so most of my music taste's came from what I saw on TOTP, or heard on Radio 1 or Luxembourg. Lots of Bowie, T Rex, Roxy Music, early Queen and other glam rock.. Recently been going a bit further back and after listening to this album twice last night, back to back, it got me thinking, has anyone else discovered an album they wish they'd got years ago...?
This is mine :
In The Court Of The Crimson King - An Observation By King Crimson.

in the court of the crimson king is a great album!...doesn't qualify for me in this thread though as i was played it as a kid by my old fella... so about 35 years ago
i'm amazed how some bands have somehow passed me by over the years.... but thanks to spotify i've discovered some absolute gems this last 12 months....
failure... fantastic planet 1996... what an album!.. opened the door to me hoovering up everything they ever did

they should have been WAY bigger... and given the influence they seem to have had over the last 30 years and the other bands members have turned up in along with prolific careers as producers for 2 of the members... i'm relly surprised they are still somewhat obscure..
very insightful breakdown video of stuck on you..

I heard Enter Sandman by Metallica on the radio on my PC so I looked to see who it was.
Then I went looking for videos of other songs by them, and promptly bought a CD of their album Metallica (in 2018).
Wish I had found that sooner!
that album was the commercial breakthrough album... to me everything after has been utter tosh...the 4 albums preceeding it however.... some of the most important albums in heavy music ever recorded.... working chorologically backwards....Then I went looking for videos of other songs by them, and promptly bought a CD of their album Metallica (in 2018).

Wish I had found that sooner!
