Seems to have been one of those people who no one had a bad word to say about. The restaurant industry in the UK certainly has a lot to thank Albert and Michel for.

Huge influence on UK restaurant scene - Jay Rayner put it well 'The roll-call of chefs who went through the kitchens of Le Gavroche alone, is a significant slab of a part of modern UK restaurant culture. RIP'

I graduated from Keith Floyd TV and books to Michel and Albert's 'New Classic Cuisine'. Beautiful (relatively) simple French cooking

A great loss. I doubt there is one "real" chef in the world who hasn't been influenced by him in some way.
