Marine Master running slow
Discussion
I've noticed that my Seiko Marine Master (sbdx001) has started running slow - not just a few seconds, but a few minutes after a day or two of wearing.
It is now three years old, so potentially due for a service - although most of my Seiko automatics have gone on 4 - 6 years before needing any attention. Should I be concerned? And should I expect to pay the full servicing fee at this age?

Morning!
The SBDX001 was discontinued in 2015, and whilst I remember some stock still being around in the autumn, it was mostly sold through by 2016.
That's just to say that your 3 year old watch was discontinued in 2015, likely manufactured in 2014, and is therefore a bit older than the time you've had it. More importantly, well done for finding one new when you did, they're well sought after
My guess is that you'll need to pay for a service. In my experience the 300MM is bullet proof and doesn't go out of tune. Have you tried demagnetising it?

Let us know how you get on. The London boutique have always offered great service when I've dealt with them, I'd try them first.
Unless something has happened to it, no 300MM should be losing that much time after 3 years. Mine are pretty accurate, despite mixed use (patches when they're used lots, then long spells in the box).
