Currently driving an e93 335i and whilst I love the power and sound, being a 2 door it isn't practical any more for my arthritic parents getting in and out the back seats.

So I will need to get a 5 door but I don't know what to get really, the current front runner is a F10 M5 but I'm not fully sold on the looks.

Key requirements for me are it needs as per the main issue, 5 doors, must sound good, have relatively decent power (I find the 335is power enough for daily driving) and be somewhat reliable (the 335i really isn't so I'd want to avoid that with my next purchase).

Only body shape I will rule out is an estate.

What do you recommend?

FYI “5 door” refers to hatchbacks, estates and SUVs - i.e. cars where the boot grants access to the passenger compartment. Saloons (which it sounds like you want) are referred to as having 4 doors.
