Anybody on here? There was a lovely red 993 RS and a 928 out and about near the wildlife park (Burford) today. I was driving in my Cayman worrying about all of the salt on the road and saw these two beauties pull out looking far too shiny

It may have been a magazine shoot as there was a photographer further down the road looking cold.

So turns out that the cars I saw are the ones gracing the cover of "classic and sports car" magazine this month.

The red RS was a 964 3.8 not a 993 and is currently on sale at Hairpin for a cool £1.2m.

Ironically the weather on the day I saw them was atrocious and I had almost taken one of my other cars due to the fact that I had considered it too wet and salty for my Cayman... Worth less than a 100th of the price of the 964 RS

I've read the article. Lovely 911 but mad money.

Ex Dario Franchitti...I listened to an interview where he said it was the only car he’s ever owned that he felt he couldn’t drive it because of the rarity/condition. So he sold it.
