V8V Snapped calliper bleed nipple

I have a snapped bleed nipple on a rear calliper, has anyone here successfully drilled one out.
Have you tried a small stud extractor before you resort to a drill? I'd be inclined to soak the nipple in release fluid, warm the caliper in that area with a hot-air gun, spray the nipple with cold water then immediately try a stud extractor.I hasten to add that this is purely theoretical knowledge as I've never tried it on a bleed nipple - in the past I've more usually used it on something like broken head studs
The only thing worse than a swollen nut is a snapped nipple...
If you do decide to drill it out, I recommend an undersized left handed thread drill bit. I'm always amazed at how well they work for pulling the bolt out.
And once you get it out, if you compress the pistons, or back fill from the other nipple or MC, you should be able to get all the bits out with the fluid.
