Anyone else sense a possible alcohol ban incoming? There’s been a pattern in the past 10 months whereby the press start to publish articles hinting at potential upcoming restrictions, only for it to become government policy a few weeks later. Also the governments of Europe tend to follow one another, like lemmings. Ireland intimating an alcohol ban. I wouldn’t be surprised if sales of alcohol are banned in supermarkets and off-licences in the coming 10 days.

Have you actually read what Ireland is doing? Its similar to what Scotland did with their minimum price per unit.

Its not banning alcohol.

What was the stat 4 bottles of wine a week consumed by lockdowners, the economy just can't take it, the tax revenue alone is massive.

Just think, the more you drink, the more lives you are saving.

The key to a complacent population is cheap and readily available access to alcohol.

It would be like taking a match to a petrol soaked bale of hay if they banned the sale of it.

I’ve had a couple of Gin & Cokes.....Gordons is underrated in my humble opinion. Great to see all the different football clubs on MOTD.

No ban. I could see alcohol related taxes being increased though.
