Leaking wheels

Just had some second hand alloys to go on my work van and second hand tyres all bought separately.

2 of them have leaks between the outer rim and tyre. One where the weights have been put on..

Whats likely cause here are these wheels knackered or do the tyres need taking off and any corrison cleaned off?

Remove tyres, get rims cleaned, should have had it done when they were fitted.

I'd get the rims cleaned up, the tyres refitted with bead sealer, and see how you get on.

Think I sorted it i managed to get enough gap between tyre and alloy and sandpaper the area. One was quite flaky with paint.

Re inflated and all good no more leaks.
