I was thinking about this the other day and thought i'd open it up to the community here! Feel free to give as much or as little detail about the experience and it's up to you whether or not you name the party responsible.

I'll go first. A while ago I had an issue with juddering brakes, wanted the indie to look at it, first thing they did was replace the front discs and pads (which they had identified as the culprit without much investigation) with Porsche items. Picked it up and it had not cured the issue. Clearly I raised it with the service advisor and he said with out much care, 'oh Sir we'll need to replace the rears too...' you can imagine how that went down. They admitted they didn't really try and fault-find the cause. In the same visit, it was in for exhaust gasket replacement and I am convinced they opened up a seam in the exhaust so as to cause a leak which of course meant it failed the next MOT. They were only too happy and quick to quote £2k+ for an aftermarket replacement. They can jog on. I won't name them but they are based in Sussex.

Notably, the above issues were subsequently solved by an old-school indie for a few hundred quid (disc re-face and exhaust welding).

Over to you!

Not related to Porsche, but authorised BMW dealer crashed my M Coupe while it was in for inspection II service. Heel n Toe helped me with the video:

Had a similar experience with the same indie as you (based on your other posts) with my 993 C4S. Took it in for a quote on some minor bits and pieces and was told it needed a top end rebuild/refresh and a host of other stuff including new alternator. Went to Paragon for a second opinion who declared it a strong motor with no need to touch it and just needing a new battery. I have continued to use Paragon ever since - not the cheapest or the nearest to me but attention to detail and knowledge are excellent and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Had a small outward dent in the back boot on my Boxster due to leaving the fuel filler cap in the small space where the oil caps are and trying to close the boot.

First OPC told me that they need to take out the lid, get it straightened out and then get lid and parts of the car's back resprayed - all for four figures. I asked them if they could lower the lid on one side a bit and you'd hardly be able to see the dent. OPC said that this is not possible and the full work needs to be done

Went to another OPC and they said when being shown the dent: Why don't we just lower the lid on the one side and then you'd hardly see it? They even did the work for free
