I picked up a Burgman 650 last week after seeing it advertised locally on gumtree.
It's not something I will be keeping, I will just give it a full service, clean it up and then flog it on again come springtime, but in the meantime I have had it out for a couple of wee shots here and there.
I'll tell you what though; for a big girl she can certainly pick up her skirts and shift!
Prior to this the biggest scooter I had ridden was a 250 so, with the additional weight and size, I was expecting only slightly better performance.
Ok, we're not talking Hayabusa territory here, but there won't be many cars that can keep up with it from the lights around town and on the (closed road) dual carriageway my bottle crashed at an indicated 95 and we were still getting gradually faster!
If I had a 20-30 mile commute on busy roads I would be very tempted!

A mate had one for a while when his choice of bikes was getting more and more restricted due to arthritis in his hips.(He’s had replacement hips and back to ‘proper’ bikes)
I had a couple of shots and I have to say it was fun. As you say nippy and handled remarkably well.
One of the attractive features was it was easy just to stick on a jacket and a helmet and go. I know the effects of falling off are just the same and also you could do that just as easily on a big bike. But it just felt ‘right’
