Hi Guys, as a bit of a background I am currently an “after sales controller”... fancy name for a service advisor. I’ve recently made the transition from being a technician which after a 3 yr apprenticeship and 2 yrs on the tools it wasn’t really for me anymore. So I thought I could jump in the office and have a go at that if I wanted to learn some admin based skills and potentially get a stepping stone to what I wanted to do. I still don’t really know what I want to do. I basically want my weekends back, so a mon-fri job with decent pay and potentially some growing room to maybe get a promotion somewhere. I don’t mind if it’s more manual or office based but I just want out. Been looking for about a year now. Trains was originally a good idea however I don’t want to work shifts. Any ideas guys? I’m 22 so would be able to change trades with relative ease. Cheers!

What are you interested in? What are your hobbies? What are you good at? There must be something you would like to be doing? Difficult to give any advice if we don't know that.

I’m a fan of music and guitars. Would be cool to become a guitar set up technician also doing repairs at a big shop but they are not the best paid at all and few and far between. I’m also well into modified cars and tuning but don’t know about those sort of jobs too much. Apart from that I’ve just bought my first house so I now have my weekends taken up for DIY and building flat pack furniture and putting up shelves.

Take a look at our web site www.tdi-plc.com and let us know if you feel that you can add value and would like to apply at hr@tdi-plc.com

Wow. I work in dartford so that’s literally about 5 mins more away for me. I will shoot them an email and see what they say. Thank you! I might just find a place for myself yet

In most companies they run all the internal training, apprenticeships, internal transfers, career progression and recruitment.
