Reading the one hit wonders thread somehow got me to thinking about 80s music.

If you wanted to put together a mix-tape of the 80s what/who would be on it? It doesn't have to be significant, or even good, all that matters is that (for whatever reason) you like the songs and they make you smile nostalgically.

Carly Simon - Coming around again
Jam - Going Underground
Kylie Minogue - Got to be certain
Echo and The Bunnymen - Seven seas
A-Ha - The sun always shines on TV

Two songs from each year (I think), no artists repeated and all songs are subject to change if I have to do this again.

Asia - Heat of the Moment
Midnight Oil - Beds are Burning
The Outfield - For Your Love
Ultravox - Lament

Marillion - Assassing
Katrina and the Waves - Walking on Sunshine

Genesis - Home By The Sea (1&2)
Special AKA - Ghost Town
Blondie - Union City Blue
James - Sit Down
Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name
Pet Shop Boys - It's a Sin

As always I'll see someone else's list and think "Oh!"

I've noticed there's a distinct lack of guilty pleasures by contributors.

Loved watching TOTP replayed on BBC4 on Friday nights. It gives me a warm glowing feeling inside and takes me back to my childhood. It's gotten to the point that I've started liking Michael Bolton!
