X5 (F15) AdBlu issues

Hi,
I have an AdBlu issue where I get a fault in the engine management system. The system is full but the vehicle doesn’t seem to be using the additive. Someone suggested the injectors could be blocked but I’ve no idea whether this is realistic.
The vehicle is currently at BMW for a recall so I asked them to look at this problem but they now suggest they need to refer the problem and require 4 hours time to investigate further (at a cost of ~ £500).
I was wondering if anyone has any insight to this problem?
