Does anyone have any recommmendations? Preferably in or near London, East of if possible.

I'm looking for something ultra discrete and all I really want are a pair of speakers, an amp and an input that I can plug a 3.5mm headphone jack into (for an iPod or pocket radio). So someone who can be a bit creative would be a bonus.

And before anyone tells me the engine is all the music I should need, I know that. But after a few minutes even I feel like a tw*t at traffic lights or in traffic jams listening to the engine. And traffic news can be handy...

Just had mine kitted out with an Alpine head unit that has an iPOd interface. It means i get to tuck the ipod under the dash and see track info on the unit. Also added a power amp and 2 way speakers with the tweeters mounted inside the dash, so very discrete. Was done by a company in Milton Keynes, so of absolutely no use to you whatsoever

Is this for the Daytona?

Manchester or Goole area would also be handy please.

I had some fitters of dubious skill put up graded 170W 6" 2-ways into my 348 doors which were the biggest I could have without cutting and fabricating. They were still cr@p! ... and i blew one on Sunday!

There must be a good speaker out there that will take the volume and still give me some decent base (no room for sub). Any ideas?

Sorry Murph, hope you don't mind me piggybacking your thread?

Murph,

Try these and ask for a chap called Tony.

They will be doing work on my car when I get round to it. They are just on the borders of East London, not far from me and they have done all sorts of exotica so know their stuff.

Give me a shout if you want me to pop down there with you....T.

Not sure if this is too far for you but Audio File In Car are very good, based in Bishops Stortford up by the Rugby Club.

Thanks for the tips fellas.

I'll give each a call and see what happens (will call you BigT if I end up in your neck of the woods).

Stuh - yes it is. Need something non-obtrusive.

Al - no problem at all. Give Thames Car Radio a call (thread on FChat). They had plenty of ideas when I was considering something better than the standard ice cream cornet cones for my 355...no good for this request though.

I would have thought an 8 track would have been more in keeping

Ruby - you'll get that ride anyway, but any info gratefully received.

Stuh - can you get modern stuff on 8-track cartridges?

But it doesn't have any Manilow with it?

Anyway, I'm more a James Last man myself.
