I just got Wreckfest, good fun, driving sim mechanics but with destruction derby tracks and realistic damage.

As I've got an Xbox I'm basing my suggestion only upon fond memories of previous games in the series - Gran Turismo Sport. The likes of Assetto Corsa and Project Cars also look promising, but might be the type of game for which a wheel is vital.

This is also a good shout! I paid £20 for it in Argos maybe a fortnight ago, so copies shouldn't be expensive to find. Good fun to be had with the game's physics. Nailing a perfect drift on a figure of 8 track is never anything other than delightful. If off-road racing appeals, Dirt Rally 2.0 is a punishing rally simulator. When things go right, they go very right. When they go wrong you're binning a Subaru Impreza eight minutes into a long stage and killing any hopes you had of finishing the stage let alone the rally.

I paid £17 on the PS Store, think it was on offer, not sure if it still is.

You can't go wrong with that pricing! I'm not sure how far into the game you are, but I'll gladly endorse the Warwagon as being one of the most fun cars in the game. If you use manual with clutch, it responds very well to clutch kicks and you can hold it sideways for as long as you like.

Project cars 2 for big content, lots of cars and tracks but I prefer gran turismo sports driving dynamics. You do need a wheel really.
When I get home I’m going to have a look at wreckfest.....sounds fun!

Just looked up Wreckfest and Dirt Rally on PS Store. Both heavily discounted. Bought both!

I might grab a copy of Wreckfest as well, I've seen people playing it on Youtube, I thought it was PC only for some reason.

PH destruction derby anyone?

Might be worth buying PS Now and availing of their collection of games.

F1 2020 is on there.

I might actually be down for this! All depends if it's on Xbox or PlayStation though.

I did exactly this this morning. I sometimes download new games but my wifi is so crap it takes about a day to download so hard copies are better for me.

If the game has had significant updates you might find you are downloading the game anyway when you put the disc in!

Yes true but it’s got more chance of being quicker. Anyway, I like hard copies.
