Wouldn't surprise me at all - half of the stuff spouted by anyone in the public eye tends to be BS in some form or another.

At the same time he's not doing any harm, I know my dad enjoys watching all the guff he churns out. Not a fan myself, but it would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing.

His stuff is rubbish. Can't remember what one of his 'tours' he was doing but it took him about 4 episodes to go 100 miles, and moaned about how the (free!) KTM RC8 he was riding was uncomfortable at slow speeds.

Sad he's the face of biking on TV. Much prefer Charley Boorman

The guy gets paid to faf around in sheds, with old petroliana and automobilia, as well as having a load of sheds with bikes and stuff.

Who wouldn't want that in their lives or to be able to make a living from it?

Yes, he's a bit eccentric and some of the stuff doesn't stack up. Stuff he has allegedly sold in one show, is clearly visible in the background of one of his other shows at a later date.

He could never be making money as he spends a fortune on fuel driving to people's sheds to rummage.

I enjoy Shed and buried and Junk and Disorderly.
It's a harmless way to pass time viewing stuff that interest me.

I would love the opportunity to rummage some of the places that he does.

I hadn't seen the show before and watched the last series with his 70s pink seated cruiser over Christmas.

My fiance said he was weird and she's concerned I'm going to look like 'an old biker' and asked why just because they are bikers they can't look clean.

I don't mind watching him, eccentric and bit of an oddball but harmless. Annoys me how in the shots of him riding he's always riding the centre of the road, I know it's because of the camera car but just looks odd.

Not sure of his past or how he got on tv, but fair play, it's not a bad job!

Bloody awful taste though

Cant believe im defending him...but he is in the business of making tv shows. I think he knows nobody likes an insufferable expert as they cant identify with them.
Its like all those bbc shows aimed at people sat at home in the afternoon. Go somewhere,be amazed at the expert, try it yourself etc.
What is a bit funny is when he does that classic motorycle rides.
Miles and miles of plodding to some boring destination. TBH I reckon they threw the bike in the van for most of it
as its usually on something crap like a harley.
Expect someone will find some old 1980s pics of him as tory boy in the pub with nigel farage at some stage lol.

I find him a bit too TV but then he is on the TV earning a decent living from it. Is he the problem or is it the medium?

I'd rather watch his stuff than the other crap thats on the TV.

I think the talent you find on Youtube will kill these types of shows on TV eventually.

I actually enjoy his motorcycle tours and the Shed series.

It is just entertainment and certainly beats much of the other nonsense on TV.

I admit someone needs to take a pair of scissors to that mop on top of his head!

He makes (light) entertainment TV shows.

I also hear Rowan Atkinson is nothing like Mr Bean in real life.

This may come as a considerable surprise to you, but there is actually an option out there which could help you with this predicament.

Not enough motorcycle shows on tv to tell you the truth. So if he is the only one doing it, I will watch it regardless of his idiosyncrasies, its about the motorcycles for me as well as some of the routes he does.

He owns the production company (HCA) that makes all of his shows hence the HCA number plate you often see on that black Land Rover you see him driving around in on tv. Saves on paying someone else a wage if you present & produce the show yourself I suppose lol!. I must admit i find him annoying at times but again any of his shows are preferable to any of that TOWIE reality guff.

I've met him a few times, genuine nice bloke with a good sense of humour, he admits he has a limited knowledge of bikes but is willing to listen and likes to learn.

Mrs XR is a good judge of character and she describes him as a very pleasant gentleman!

He did a lot of drugs when he was younger. Presumably it's messed up his memory and coordination a bit.

I've read his book, its entertaining and he puts himself down as being a real tt most of this life. No hint of snobbery about him.

But i'd think his passion for bikes is real.
