Iphone to Youtube vids washed out, too bright on Chromebook!

Shiny shiny iphone 12 pro max takes amazing photos and videos but when uploaded to Youtube most taken in 1060HD are far too bright if not viewed at full screen, a few are too bright viewed in small screen also. Playback on the phone works fine.
Scoured the net and can only find mention of turning off the "hardware enhancer" but I can't even find that setting in Chrome!
My Chromebook is an Asus C436 Flip if that helps.
Any ideas appreciated as I really don't want the faff of having to use an editor.
