Good News Friday.

3 of us in our household and we have all had individual good news today.
Mine = My appeal against a fine for entering a new 'Bus Gate' in Durham has been upheld, so there's £60 quid saved there.
My Mrs = Received a cheque for £45 today for some tax payment or other that was taken in error last year.
My son = Had his phone interview with the Marines recruitment this morning and has just had a call back to inform him that he has passed and moving on to the next stage of the process.
So, in the sea of excrement that has been 2021 so far, what good news have you received this Friday?

Ha ha, the same as the roads look dry here and we’ve had enough rain to wash away the salt so I’ll take the toy car and not the shed. Sadly only 4 miles to our local NT estate for a good walk and our daily exercise allowance.
The missus was literally frozen out of her car this morning. Luckily I have some of those inflatable air shim bags and they saved the day with no further wife related aggro for myself.
Otherwise fixed the letterbox in the front door and have just had lunch with the dog’s head resting on my knee, lovingly staring at my food.

t myself, that’s always good news when you’ve had a Chinese within the last couple of days. Mrs got her first Covid jab last week, and will hopefully giving them to others at the weekends soon.
My Car failed it's MOT yesterday, it's only 4 years old so I was kind of hoping for a easy ride, but I needed discs and pads, front and rear, which tore a hole in my wallet which was really annoying because there were no signs at all of a problem from the driving seat... the good news... there was many signs from the drivers seat that all was not well, I'd just gotten use to it, obviously brakes smother but also just drives better. Was thinking of changing it, but I'm going to keep it now. wallet still sore though.
I've just found out I've got an operation in 2 weeks that I was absolutely sure would be cancelled given the obvious, but somehow wasn't - I've also been given a free upgrade, I'm having in a private hospital so at least I'll probably get my own room and nicer food, It should fix some chronic pain I've had for a little over a decade now.
Also, I'm only a few hours away from a Beer, happy Friday and balls to Dry January.

Well done, bet you end up running your own label in future. What sort of track and which labels did you approach?
Thank you ! I think I would like to do that eventually once i start understanding more of the industry and how all the distribution works. Also at the moment with no DJ gigs, promotion and networking is very limited but got to do what you can do. It's is more deep house/tech house with acid influences. I just approached labels with a similar sound or labels of tracks u used for reference. Also a few local Birmingham labels but I've realised it's a lot like sales & cold calling. Have to send lots off to only get several listens and maybe 1 email back. But I guess once / if my tracks do well then it will all fall into place.
