Vr Star wars squadron controls

Bought this title to play with my new headset.. seems quite keyboard control dependant which doesn't really work with vr. Any pointers appreciated.. perhaps there's decent joystick with enough buttons that sorts it?

I use a Thustmaster T Flight HOTAS. Mine is the older PC & PS3 compatible version with the red trim. It's a decent mid-range joystick. Plenty of buttons on the joystick and throttle and it works well for Star Wars Squadrons.

The joystick and throttle are two separate pieces you can unbolt, but I liked them fixed together as it's more sturdy. There's no force feedback, but I don't play flight/space sims enough to warrant spending hundreds on one.
