Sadly even stretching man-maths to its limit and beyond doesn't make that work for me...

Without looking at it, it’s probably worth £200,000.

Budget £450,000 to restore it.

Restored market value possibly £650,001 😊

If it’s 95% there as per the description and matching chassis and engine numbers it’s not a bad deal, based on recent similar DB6 sales.

Wonder what the difference in resto cost would be between getting it running and looking good as it was, vs going full on enlarged 4.7 engine, modern brakes, modern suspension etc. guessing most of these restorations take 1-3 years.

At least it won't depreciate like a brand new db11 would.

Not much difference in original and restomod costs as they call it. There’s not many of these cars about and the market knows what each one, in each condition, is worth. It’s a huge amount to get into one of these, either restored or as a project, but it could well be depreciation free here on in - as it has been for many years.

Interesting, I would have thought going the 4.7 route etc would have made a drastic difference in cost.

If cost is the nearly the same, it seems like a no brainer to have the engine restored as a 4.7, stronger disk brakes, modern suspension ,etc.

No doubt those changes would make a remarkable difference in how it drives.
