Remove soft top. Fit new motor. I’ve done two. Not a very pleasant job. Lots of guides around for relocating the motor and lots of Facebook people who will do the whole job for you apparently for not much money.
You can, with some b*dg*ng, remove the pump via the boot. You can also disconnect the fluid pipes to the pump and just have a manual hood, using the switch to lock the front clasp.
