Hi all,
having issues in opening the doors of my F32 during heavy icy conditions and struggle to close the door once opened.
Is there a product i can use on the rubbers and or glass to assist as concerned that i might break the window or bugger the window motors.

^This.

Sillicone spray will also work on the rubber seals, too. Spray on to a paper towel and then wipe on to the rubbers. Keeps them supple, and stops them sticking in winter.

Ah, good question and replies. I always hate opening my e92 doors when I think they made be frozen so the motor is struggling to pull them down a bit. Never heard of the suggested stuff so off to that popular search engine site beginning with G now.

I use this too, great stuff.

Another thing I do on really cold mornings is pour lukewarm water around the window edges immediately prior to unlocking.

^^^^ Both of these - you will need to employ both strategies in the depths of a cold winter in the UK. So, it will be an issue about 4 days per year.

I used to spray some de-icer around the edge of the windows of the Mercs I’ve had with pillar-less glass. Before attempting to open the door.

I usually spray some on the windscreen and headlight washer jets too so they don’t freeze up and end up losing a cover if I need to clear the screen in the dark.

Seems to work well and I’ve never had a problem.

My A7 is terrible for this. Only a few times a year as said.
I had some Meguiars Tyre Dressing in my shed.
Rubbed all over the rubbers and its worked a treat.
Smells nice and used about a Thimble full.
However it also freezes where it slides down into the door. A credit card slid in, sorts that bit.
Quite suprised these Pillerless Cars pass R&D Cold Weather Testing?

Personally forget gumming pflege it needed regular reapplication in my experience.

Treat yourself as it is expensive for a tiny bottle at over £30 but get some krytox. It is only pricey because it is a dupont product.

It will last an age and is worth the extra. It also prevented my mx5 seals from drying out (which is where I learnt about it).
