I came across this article yesterday:

https://www.granturismoevents.com/story-here-are-t...

To summarise:

Ferrari drivers - you want to belong to an exclusive club

Lamborghini drivers - we just want the attention

McLaren drivers- you want the top trump numbers

Porsche (GT) drivers - it’s all about track bragging rights

All a bit tongue in cheek and just for gentle Sunday reading. Do you agree, are you prepared to admit it’s true, or are you already throwing your (Ferrari) cap on the ground in annoyance.

Don’t forget I’ve only posted it I didn’t write it smile

Very amusing and mostly true imo....

This made me laugh most though...

“The McLaren customer is not really interested in how exciting the car is to drive.”

An amusing read, especially the summary. Which one are you:

1. "Be a member of the most exclusive club in the world"
2. "You are a rockstar"
3. "Own the most advanced car on the planet"
4 "You are a racing driver, let's go to the track!"

I’ve never met anyone covered in horrendous Ferrari merch that had a Ferrari (F1 weekends excluded)

He said "horrendous Ferrari merch". I've only got the good stuff.

When I had my 360, I enjoyed owning a piece of genuine Ferrari history, the 360 are raw, beautiful imho and belong to a long gone era.
I did have a Ferrari cap for driving, that was it! The Ferrari merchandise is cheap tack again imho.
I visited Ferrari world in Abu Dhabi and have to say I found it only cheapened the brand further.
I along with others do not find myself hankering after any of their latest cars, I would have another old model though, but the same with Porsche really, the air cooled and 987,997 are turning out to be so classic.
I don’t know what bracket this puts me in .

Back in the day when Asprey was one of Ferrari's F1 sponsors there was some lovely and, dare I say it, rather tasteful merchandise. Maybe that's just me, though. smile Anyway, my wife bought me the Asprey/Ferrari silver money clip as a birthday present in the late 90s. Not that there's much use for money clips in these cashless times!

Drifting off topic now, but Ferrari also launched a couple of Asprey edition 355 GTBs at that time - silver with Asprey purple leather interior (looked better than it sounds!) caught my eye. I wonder where they are now.

A quick check suggests there was one F355 Berlinetta which has been SORNed for a long time now and was in Sussex last I heard of it. There was also one F355 Spider which went to New Zealand.

I think that view point is fair.

But, I would say I have tracked a couple of GT3's and a 458 Italia. I preferred the 458, it was more fun, limits more accessible. I do recognise that the 458 is not designed but heavy track us, but for light track use it would be driver appealing
