Poor Image Quality with Zoom on Android Tablet
Discussion
Hi,
I have an old Sony Z2 tablet, which when using the camera app can record half decent video from the selfie cam, however the same camera used with Zoom produces a blocky over saturated mess. Everything is either too dark or bright white. Going back tot he camera app and recording some video the quality returns to "acceptable".
The Zoom settings don't seem to offer any camera options. I've tried Skype and it's the story. Internet connectivity and speed is great. Any ideas? Other software, hidden settings?
Cheers

These apps compress your video to a ridiculous standard.
They will heavily prioritize voice over video as well.
After that, they will prefer low latency over quality.
Lastly, video quality comes into play.
So yes, not much to do about that, especially in bigger meetings video quality can suffer. Don't forget that 20 years ago you'd have to wait for a picture to load up on your screen over the internet, now you're live video conferencing with multiple people
