Anyone watched episode 1?
All a bit odd, seems like a lot of other plots.
Why would there be CCTV in EVERY room? So he could watch the daughter in bed?

Tried to watch episode 2 as it's available on download but the sub titles went crzy after the first adverts

I enjoyed it. Didn't really over think it - just thought it was fairly light hearted entertainment.

I remember there is a website full of CCTV streams where the people have installed them but never changed the admin password. So it means anyone could log in to your CCTV system and spy on you and you wouldn't know about it. There is a disturbing number of people who have CCTV's in every room. So it's not beyond belief that people think they're being security conscious by installing them in every room, but not conscious enough to change the default settings...

I have to say it’s a load of tosh. Only have it on because Mrs Wombat is watching it. Very poor writing wasting the talents of a lot of good actors.

Early on I decided that if I were Alice I'd so be flogging that house and would be done with it, though. Guess that would not make six episodes though!

Halfway through episode 1. and it’s not choking my chicken tbh. Feels like they’re trying too hard to be darkly funny.

I watched this , it occurred to me that Keeley Hawes looks older than her 44 years , unless it's the make up .

Not sure this is going to keep me gripped for a whole series ....2/5 so far .

And he built that massive house for them without her seeing it before the place was finished? Apart from the bannister.
Still cannot believe you'd have a CCTV camera in your teenage daughters bedroom.........perv.

Too many loose ends for me. Appreciate that we need a cliffhanger to pick up in S2, but hardly any of the plot threads were resolved. Seemed to us that they'd got notice of S2 commission before they'd written Ep6 & just decided to wrap 2 plots (touchy feely family) & leave the rest (intrigue, money, business, greed, trust) open, ready for next time.

Would not buy again.

Finished episode 5. It doesn't get any better, in fact it's utter ste!
Only watching it as the Mrs quite likes it.
Can't wait to waste another hour of my life tonight on catch up...

Christ.... it’s so slow. Not funny enough, not sad enough, not clever enough, not deep enough... it just floats along in that middle ground of nothingness. It feels like it’s been written by a commitee or something, it all seems so disjointed. I mean, just compare it to the amazing writing that is ‘After Life’. Some of the acting is disgraceful too.

I thought the first episode wasn't bad. It felt like it was building to something.

Tonight felt like a waste of an hour going nowhere.

Awful. Watched all 6 online.

Possibly the worst series i've watched for a long long time.

As per the above poster - not sad enough, not funny enough, no drama, no tension or suspense. No idea what it was actually meant to be.

Trying not to give any spoilers as I know some people are watching on normal TV but please don't waste your time on it.


No ending of any sort whatsoever. Had to check that they just hadn't put episodes 7 and 8 online yet.

Will probably watch the last two just to see where it goes, but it's gone way downhill since the first one.

Sat through half of the penultimate one last night and we just gave up on it, so dull.

We watched ep 1 and quite enjoyed it, primarily because of the dark awk humour involved. Eps 2 & 3 were dreadful though. I wanted to give up but my wife said let's watch one more. Ep 4 was marginally better but I'm not liking this thread, think I'm gonna leave her to it.

Wife agrees with you folk. We've just watched ep2 and I quite enjoyed it, must be my odd sense of humour but laughed out loud a couple of times.

I thought it was alright. Some funny lines in amongst.
I do worry they've set it up for a series two, which I think is pushing their luck.
